Every People. Every Tribe. Every Tongue.
#EndBiblePovertyNow

We Believe Every Person Has the Right to Have the Bible in Their Mother Tongue.
There are approximately 7,100 living languages spoken on earth today. There are some 1600+ living languages that still do not have a single verse of the Scriptures translated.
With 354 languages, Mexico is the 5th most linguistically diverse country in the World. At least 53 of those languages have zero to only a few sections of the Bible translated.
Although some translations have been completed, many indigenous communities in Mexico still need significant Bible engagement, distribution, training, and discipleship.

How We’re Making a Difference
Field Research
Information is still scarce regarding the status, exact location, and number of native-speakers of certain languages in Mexico. With the assistance of other translation organizations, we’ve identified 53 Bibleless languages as the least engaged. We’re making steady progress in traveling to each community where the language is spoken — our goal is to establish key relationships and contribute to the existing field of research.
Multimedia Resource Distribution
Over 70% of all people are oral communicators - they are those who can’t, won’t, or don’t communicate through written means. Moreover, there are still 773 million illiterate adults around the world. It is therefore crucial to adapt Bible translations into various mediums of communications to effectively engage today’s unreached.
Oral Storytelling
Every culture tells stories. In fact, an estimated two-thirds of the world learns better through stories rather than through written means. Engaging communities with the Bible through storytelling methods is a powerful tool for communicating the Gospel. The Word by Heart school is a University of the Nations secondary course that trains storytellers how to internalize stories of the Bible word-for-word. Via this and other storytelling courses, we not only share the stories through oral means, but train native-language speakers on the methodology to then share and train others in their own language.
BELT Bible Seminars
For more than 25 years, BELT has been equipping leaders around the world to make a difference for Christ. Whether in a remote village or an urban center, whether the marketplace or a government office, whether the pulpit or a classroom, lives are rewritten as the Bible and the Holy Spirit redesign thinking and hearts. BELT is a ministry of Youth With Mission, a global movement of Christians dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world, whose purpose is to know God and to make Him known.
